We’ve created our own unique style of slow burn power yoga that combines Hatha yoga, power yoga, bodyweight exercises and physical therapy. This way in our classes we give you time to find modifications and adjustments if needed, while also working up a sweat.
What is the difference between Hatha and Power yoga?
In short, Hatha is a gentle yoga more focused on the postures than the flowing. While Power yoga is close to the opposite. Power yoga focuses on building strength and quickly moves from one pose to the next.
Hatha Yoga
This practice of yoga primarily focuses on breathing, the body and mind. In a traditional class you can expect to combine yoga with meditation. Hatha yoga is considered a gentle yoga and slows down your practice to focus on the postures.
Power Yoga
Power yoga focuses on the flow of yoga. In this practice it helps you increase strength and cardiovascular endurance. These classes can be considered more of a workout. In the classes you focus on a series of postures while continuously moving.
