Every class is led by 3 instructors showcasing 3 different levels of modifications for every pose. That means that every class can be completed in 3 different ways:

Level 1 – Beginners

You’re doing yoga to GET more flexible, not because you are flexible. Yoga Boost is unique because we provide modifications for people who aren’t used to doing yoga, ESPECIALLY inflexible people. You do not have to be flexible in order to start.
Our unique take on yoga is designed for those of us can’t twist themselves into a pretzel. It’s for those of us who have tight muscles and who need modifications they probably wouldn’t get in a group class. It’s yoga fitness for the rest of us. Though we loaded Yoga Boost with modifications for men, what that really means, is that we loaded it with modifications for anyone who has tight shoulders, tight hamstrings, and for those who may not be able to touch their toes. Whether you are inflexible because you’re just getting back into shape, or because your muscles are tight from hitting the gym, you’ll find that with our modifications, absolutely anyone can do yoga in a safe, supportive, and low impact way.

    This program is just what I wanted for a senior beginner. The instructor offers modifications so that you can follow along even though you may not be physically able to do standard yoga without pain. The people in the background do the yoga with modifications, so it is easy to pick any person to follow at any given time. You are encouraged to work at your own pace and push yourself just a bit further. The four levels are increasingly more difficult, and much is done on a chair or standing instead of the floor. The instructor gives needed reminders during the program to “keep your back straight”, “keep your head up”, “good posture”, etc. He tells you where you should be feeling a stretch, which makes it easy to adjust your body to actually do the position correctly. Highly recommend this program for beginners/seniors.

    I am recovering from hip replacement surgery and quite a bit of inactivity because of heart issues. I used to do quite a bit of yoga, regularly, and have fallen away. When I started in again, even with a beginner’s video, I kept re-injuring myself. Then it would take me two to three week to recover, during which I wasn’t progressing at all. When I did Yoga Vitality for the first time, I knew it could be my way back to a stronger, more grounded way of being in the world. I am still on the first lesson, building up strength and stretching some muscles but I’m already feeling stronger. And, I haven’t re-injured myself once. Recommended for persons who want to take their strength recovery seriously!

    I’m a 71 year old male who has never tried yoga before. However, after reading several positive stories/reports about yoga benefits, I decided to give yoga a try. Although it’s only been a little over two weeks since I started, I believe I’m already seeing healthy results. Not only do I feel physically stronger, but I also feel emotionally and mentally uplifted. If you’re a senior (like me) or have some physical challenges, this video ‘Yoga Vitality’ is perfect for you. Dean does an excellent job of coaching as you move through stretching and pose exercises. Being able to use a chair greatly helps with balance and confidence. In addition to the introductory Level 1, there are 3 additional more challenging levels to move to as your strength and confidence grows……….meaning this one video may be all you ever need. I give Dean and this video 5+ stars!

    You can see different levels of fitness in this video. Outstanding instructor, easy to understand, and reminding you of many things as you go. I loved when I was feeling guilty about taking 5 breaths to his every 1, he says that’s ok you’ll get better. Yes, I think I will! I’ll be doing this yoga often I’m sure.

SAFE USE OF EQUIPMENT

Certain programs may utilize equipment, such as yoga mats, yoga blocks, yoga straps, chairs, foam rollers, and other equipment which, if not used correctly, could lead to serious injury or death. Carefully review all safety, care and use instructions and manuals prior to beginning.

Use any equipment shown in the workouts only as demonstrated, using proper form.
Inspect any equipment for wear or damage prior to each use and refrain from using any equipment that appears damaged, worn or defective.

Always use a secure, proper, and stable anchor for any equipment that requires hanging or attaching.
Always exercise caution during use of any equipment to make sure you do not lose your grip or control, such as making sure your hands are not wet or sweaty.
Ensure exercise bands are firmly secure and assembled to prevent slipping, snapping, recoiling and injury to yourself or anyone else.
Ensure your workout bench and pull up bar is stable, strong enough to hold your weight and does not move during use. If you do not think you can safely perform exercises with your bench or pull up bar, or you do not have the proper equipment, you should do the modifier exercises instead.
