When many people think about a yoga class, they tend to picture an hour-long practice. For this reason, many do not realize that shorter practices can be helpful as well. 

Even a few minutes of yoga is better than doing no yoga at all. Let that sink in. That’s right. Even ten minute yoga practices can be beneficial, especially for beginners

Let’s say that someone is brand new to yoga and has never practiced at all before. In this case, a ten minute class would be a wonderful way to work up to a longer practice. With a ten minute class, you can begin to build up a yoga routine, maybe even practicing for longer as time goes on.

So, why should you try out a ten minute yoga practice?

The truth is that yes, it is possible to receive some benefits from a ten minute yoga practice. However, if you are looking for faster results, we recommend doing at least twenty minutes for full benefits.  Even so, there are still many benefits to be had from just a ten minute practice. 

Even just ten minutes of a yoga practice can help to begin increasing your flexibility, balance, strength, and mobility. In addition, any yoga at all can be great for enhancing one’s focus and concentration. Plus, even doing just ten minutes of yoga a day is a great way to build a habit, especially if you eventually are hoping to work your way up to a longer, more intense practice as time goes on. 

How Long are Body By Yoga’s Practices?

At Body By Yoga, we like to make sure that we are offering yoga practice for people of all levels and abilities. We believe that a yoga class should not have to be sixty minutes every time. 

This is why our classes range in length from just a few minutes to up to an hour if desired.

This allows for a lot of room to work your way up to higher levels of your practice, giving you opportunities to always keep improving.

In general, however, we like for our practices to be thirty minutes or less. We offer many tutorials of all lengths on our youtube channel. 

When it comes to yoga, you have to start somewhere.

This is why we offer so many different ten minute yoga practices (or less) for you to choose from. We like to offer multiple different types of practices so that people of all abilities and experiences can find the best possible class for them. This means that someone who has never done yoga before might choose to do one of our beginner ten minute classes while an advanced yogi might opt for a thirty minute class or longer.

You might try out this free ten minute practice that is taken from our Yoga Boost program. If you are a beginner to yoga, this is the class for you. Our Yoga Boost program features four beginner workouts for anyone who is new to yoga, or who might need a more gentle practice. We decided to offer a ten minute class as part of this program that anybody can take for free. If you are new to yoga, we definitely recommend trying this one out. This practice, in particular, is great for strengthening the muscles and keeping the body nice and strong. This is definitely the best ten minute class that we offer for beginners. If you find that you get up in the morning and do not have much energy, or need some help waking up, this might be a great class for you. For your safety, you must:

Use any equipment shown in the workouts only as demonstrated, using proper form.
Inspect any equipment for wear or damage prior to each use and refrain from using any equipment that appears damaged, worn or defective.
Keep children, pets and any other obstacles away from equipment and exercise area at all times.
Always use a secure, proper, and stable anchor for any equipment that requires hanging or attaching.
Always exercise caution during use of any equipment to make sure you do not lose your grip or control, such as making sure your hands are not wet or sweaty.
Ensure exercise bands are firmly secure and assembled to prevent slipping, snapping, recoiling and injury to yourself or anyone else.
Ensure your workout bench and pull up bar is stable, strong enough to hold your weight and does not move during use. If you do not think you can safely perform exercises with your bench or pull up bar, or you do not have the proper equipment, you should do the modifier exercises instead.
