I do yoga at the studio every now and then, so I thought this beginner program was the right spot for me. It definitely is for pure beginners. Anyone who hasn’t done yoga at all before would benefit from this. He shows your proper form and get you into poses anyone can work on. I should have purchased something a little more advanced. Even a few classes a year was enough to surpass this program. I think what would have made this 5 stars is if at least one of the 4 classes was a little more advanced.

The yoga is fine, the instruction is fine. But ladies, if you were hoping to see some hot male chesty action while yoga-ing, you’ll be disappointed (as I was). He’s shirtless on the case photo, but he keeps his shirt on throughout all the exercises. 🤷â€â™€ï¸

I’ve been always wanting to start yoga. I thought this program might be good, but I realize there’s no closed captions. I’m deaf and trying to understand what the man saying in the video.

Hi Dean have not used the video yet just getting over the flu but I plan on using it this Friday dec 20th and I’m looking forward to trying it. I bough you video because all of the wonderful reviews that were posted. Can I check back after Friday Dec 20th😊

I like the fact that the program has 4 options to workout in the areas and needs that I have. Very great program.

I liked the video, slightly misleading, it was very much for beginners. I was expecting a more intense yoga experience.
Aimee M Garcia –
Dean keeps it simple and challenging at the same time. I appreciate that. I look forward to getting the next program soon.

Great for those just starting out. I wish there were more workouts on the program.
Joan Mobley –
I like Lip Sense , color lasts a long time.

Good workout, but using yoga breath and basic yoga priciples gets you using so much more of your body , rather than treating it like a fitness .
Plus there is less chance of injury .

Very good and great for beginner. There are 2 programs, updated and original. I like the original better, both are very good and I’ve been doing them now for 3 weeks, and my entire body is getting more flexible.

Well, I am not a beginner so I probably should not have ordered it. It is good though and I still benefit from it. Music is off, not a good choice, and Dean should not be wearing what he is wearing. Does not do him justice. Wife-beaters suit no one. Helpful and posed. Thank you.

Kelley Hanna –
Great refresher and adjusts for beginners

I bought this program for my husband who is overweight and inflexible; it did not work for him. He couldn’t do at least half of the poses. His belly does get in the way of a lot of yoga poses, and so I have since looked for a “plus-size” yoga video for him (granted, all the ones I’ve found so far are for women). However, I have enjoyed this yoga video. It’s a good 30-minute workout for me. I am not experienced in yoga, but I consider myself to be semi-active and pretty flexible. The workouts challenge some of my flexibility and also improve some of my muscle strength – especially since they are slightly geared for men with more upper-body strength. I like the calm voice that gently explains the moves and reminds you of ways to do the moves correctly. I also like the calm music in the background. He does a lot of the Warrior poses and often uses the term “goalpost arms,” which seems “manly” if that’s what you’re looking for. He does use a block and a strap at times, though in my opinion you can do the vast majority of the moves without those props.

Seems slow at times. I’d like to know the time frame for each workout.

He produces a great yoga program series that I use everyday before work. The only reason that I am giving this 4 stars is that there is another program that he made called yoga strong that is really good. I would buy both this program and yoga strong and rotate through the exercises as needed.

I have low back pain and chronic hip bursitis that makes walking painful and also impacts my ability to sleep. My left arm has limited mobility as well, so I wasn’t sure yoga would work at all. To my amazement, my husband was willing to do it with me. After the first session (Sharpen), we both felt better, generally. It leaves you feeling invigorated, yet relaxed. We actually look forward to feeling better and better, and we are telling family members about it!
Zach –
I was a little disappointed with how basic this was. However, it is advertised as beginner yoga (very very beginner).
M. Marshall –
I was looking for an easy athletic type Yoga program to do on alternate days of weight training. This fits the bill.

I like this program. The guy is very personable. He looks like he wouldn’t be but you can tell he is quite flexible. He’s got a friendly soothing voice which goes well with the idea of doing yoga. I do wish he didn’t wear a shirt the whole time — the cover is a bit misleading. I don’t mean this in a piggish way but I know from classes I have taken that either tight fitting clothing or going shirtless allows a student a better understanding about what muscles are being used/flexed and to what degree.
The program comes with some offers about additional info on a website which I checked out but haven’t done anything with. I am still on the beginner lesson and expect to be for some time.

Good workout. The only complaints I have are that he tends to spend noticeably more on one or the other side when doing poses that alternate between left and right and that he keeps using a phrase, “tailbone reaching down” or “reach your tailbone down”, that doesn’t appear to mean anything in terms of what the human body actually does.
However the routines are effective and short enough for even an impatient guy like me to get through. I would recommend this to anyone looking to start exercising from a place of relative unfairness, as I did.
Kenneth Woods –
The videos are good, I’m an absolute beginner and find it easy to follow. I am primarily using the set to improve flexibility for Brazilian jiu jitsu. I would recommend to a novice as it’s easy workouts and easy to follow.
Mike Meador –
As bought.
Emily A. –
It’s a little hard to follow what’s going on and move at the same time, but overall a good program.
Heidy Estrada –
Love this video very easy to follow each movement easlily explains
Marvin E. Disney –
Great for people who are not real flexible like me
Brian –
Good program for beginners. Offers quick workouts. I hope he makes an intermediate or advance yoga practice program.
Carroll –
I like the stress relief workout.
Pix –
Yoga without the voodoo! yay!!
Looking forward to more of this, and more advanced work for muscle development.
Jake –
Good yoga videos. All less than half an hour.
Sean M. McKinney –
Good for those of us who don’t need the hippie dippie stuff. But definitely full on beginner. Looking forward to trying something a little more challenging but definitely from these guys!
